Documentary about John Wansley Life
Alongside the Director Daniel Clarke, an award winning journalist and documentary filmmaker (2023 Walkey Awards Winner), I have worked as the cinematographer on a feature bio-doc of John Wamsley, an eccentric and famous Australian conservationist.
Against belligerent governments and fickle public opinion, John builds fenced-off sanctuaries around the country: donning dead-cat hats, embarrassing politicians and ultimately launching the world’s first publicly listed conservation company.
In the process, he changed the Australian conservation movement forever, until finally his war with the cat owners, shock jocks, and bewildered public servants brought it all crashing down…
