WET FEATHER

ACS GOLD AWARD WINNER
ACS MILTON INGERSON AWARD FOR BEST ENTRY OF 2025

Wet Feathers is an ongoing project that portrays the story of Brett Truttman, using his journey to reflect life in Coober Pedy and the complexities of mental health in a poetic and playful way. Blending documentary and fiction, the work explores the raw beauty of isolation, resilience, and the unseen battles of the mind.

Set against the stark landscapes of Coober Pedy, the teaser intertwines Brett’s personal struggles with the town’s underground existence. His poetry becomes both a confession and a guide, revealing the weight of survival in a place where the earth offers both shelter and solitude. Through a mix of intimate moments and sweeping desert imagery, the film captures the fragility of the human spirit and the search for light in the shadows.
